The 2022 Daihatsu Atrai (S700 series) is the ultimate "leisure van" for the modern age. Launched in December 2021, this 6th Generation model reinvented the Atrai. It moved away from the "passenger wagon" classification to a "commercial van" classification in Japan to maximize cargo space, squaring off the rear end completely. It is essentially a luxury Hijet, designed for camping, fishing, and business.

Daihatsu dropped the manual option for a sophisticated CVT:
