The 2024 Tesla Model S is the grandfather of the EV revolution, but it refuses to age. Originally launched in 2012, the current "Palladium" version (introduced in 2021) is a comprehensive re-engineering. It features a landscape screen, a rear entertainment display, and the optional Yoke steering wheel. In its Plaid trim, it is the fastest accelerating production car you can buy in Kenya, period.

Two versions, both insane:

• Long Range (Dual Motor): 670 HP. RECOMMENDED 0-100 in 3.2s. It offers the best range (650km+) and is already faster than almost anything on Kenyan roads.
• Plaid (Tri-Motor): 1,020 HP. Carbon-sleeved rotors. 0-100 in 2.1s. It creates G-forces that can physically hurt. It is a technological masterpiece but overkill for daily use.

• Rear Screen: Passengers in the back get their own 8-inch screen to watch Netflix or play games. The gaming computer inside has PS5-level performance.
• Liftback Boot: The boot opens huge (793 Litres), swallowing luggage, golf clubs, or a bicycle with seats folded. The "Frunk" adds extra storage.

• Charging: Home charging is essential. Public infrastructure in Kenya is growing but sparse. A full charge costs a fraction of a tank of V-Power.
• Service: Extremely low maintenance. No oil changes, no filters. Suspension components and tyres (especially on Plaid) are the main consumables.
• Insurance: Expensive. Repairing aluminum body panels requires specialized skills and imported parts.

Air Suspension: The adaptive air suspension is standard. It can raise the car for steep driveways or lower it for highway efficiency. It handles potholes surprisingly well, but the low-profile tyres on 21-inch "Arachnid" wheels are a liability. Stick to the 19-inch "Tempest" wheels for Kenya.

5-Star Safety Rating. Autopilot is standard, relieving stress in traffic jams. Reliability of the powertrain is excellent, but fit-and-finish issues (rattles, panel gaps) can occur.

Who is this for? The executive who wants to experience 1000 horsepower daily and never visit a petrol station again. Who is it NOT for? Those who live far from charging infrastructure or prefer the traditional luxury of leather-and-wood interiors.
