The 2024 Suzuki Fronx is the car Kenya has been waiting for. Launched globally in 2023 (making this the 1st Generation), it answers a specific question: "What if you made the Baleno taller and tougher?" It is a coupe-SUV crossover that combines the Baleno's spacious cabin with the Grand Vitara's rugged looks. With high ground clearance and affordable pricing, it is set to dominate the entry-level SUV segment.

Two engines are relevant for our market:

• 1.5L K15B (Petrol): 103 HP. STANDARD This is the engine found in units sold by CFAO Motors (Toyota/Suzuki Kenya). It is a proven, reliable engine shared with the Jimny and Ertiga. Paired with a 4-speed auto (reliable but dated).
• 1.0L BoosterJet (Turbo): 100 HP. Found in grey market imports from India/Japan. It offers more torque and a 6-speed auto, making it more fun to drive but slightly more complex to maintain.

• Dual-Tone Dash: The interior features a burgundy and black color scheme that looks upscale. It has a 9-inch HD touchscreen, heads-up display (HUD), and 360-degree cameras on top trims.
• Coupe Roof: The sloping roofline looks great but cuts into rear headroom slightly compared to the Baleno. Boot space is 308 Litres (smaller than Baleno due to the raised floor).

• Consumption: 16–18 km/l (1.5L). It is very light, so fuel economy is excellent even without a hybrid system.
• Service: Parts are shared with the Grand Vitara and Baleno. Maintenance is incredibly cheap and easy.
• Value: As a brand-new car, it offers a 3-year/100,000km warranty (from the dealer), providing peace of mind that used imports cannot match.

Perfect Clearance: At 190mm, the ground clearance is fantastic. It clears speed bumps and rough estate roads without breaking a sweat. It is not 4WD, so don't take it deep off-road, but for 95% of Kenyan driving, it is ideal.
