The 2024 Audi RS5 Sportback is the supercar you can drive to a client meeting without raising eyebrows. While the first RS5 launched in 2010 with a screaming V8, this 2nd Generation (B9, launched 2017) switches to a Porsche-developed 2.9L Twin-Turbo V6. The B9.5 Facelift (2020+) adds sharper lights and a wider grille. It offers 90% of the thrill of a BMW M4 but with 100% more daily usability and Quattro all-weather security.

A single, masterful powertrain:

• 2.9L Twin-Turbo V6 (TFSI): 450 HP / 600 Nm. STANDARD Shared with the Porsche Panamera 4S. The "Hot V" turbo layout (turbos inside the V of the engine) reduces lag to almost zero. It pulls relentlessly from 1,900 rpm. Paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic (ZF) gearbox.

• Alcantara & Carbon: The cabin is a mix of high-tech and sport. The RS steering wheel with "RS1" and "RS2" mode buttons allows you to switch engine maps instantly. The Virtual Cockpit has unique RS graphics (G-meter, lap timer).
• Sportback Utility: The 5-door Sportback is the one to buy. The rear hatch opens wide (465 Litres), making it far more practical than the Coupe. You can fit a pram or golf clubs easily.

• Consumption: 7–9 km/l. Respectable for 450HP, thanks to the efficiency of the 2.9L engine.
• Service: This is a high-performance machine. Brake discs are huge and expensive. The DRC (Dynamic Ride Control) suspension shocks are complex and costly to replace if they leak. Use only 98 RON fuel (V-Power).
• Tyres: 20-inch low profile tyres are standard. Budget for replacements frequently if you enjoy cornering.

Quattro Grip: The mechanical center differential splits torque 40:60 (front:rear) but can send up to 85% to the rear. This gives it incredible stability on loose surfaces or rain-slicked highways. However, the ground clearance is low. It is a car for the highway, not the village track.
