The 2022 UD Croner is the truck designed specifically for growth markets like Kenya. Launched in 2017 to replace legacy UD models, it sits between the light-duty Kazet and the heavy-duty Quon. Unlike Japanese-spec trucks that are overly complex, the Croner was built to be robust, simple, and fuel-efficient, making it a direct challenger to the Isuzu FRR/FSR.

The Croner uses modern common-rail engines:

• GH5E (5.1L 4-Cyl): 180 - 210 HP. MKE Series Ideal for city distribution and medium loads. It focuses on fuel efficiency.
