• Coupe Roofline: While stunning, the sloping roof cuts into rear headroom. Passengers over 5'10" will brush the ceiling. The boot is decent at 460 litres but has a narrow opening.

• MBUX: The Mercedes-Benz User Experience system is standard. "Hey Mercedes" voice control actually works. Touchpad on the center console replaces the old rotary dial.
• Frameless Doors: A signature feature of the CLA. They look amazing when opened but require careful handling of the window seals to prevent wind noise as the car ages.

• Maintenance: High. It is a fashion-forward Mercedes. Parts are specific to the coupe body style and cost more than the equivalent A-Class sedan parts.

• Ground Clearance: Very Low (104mm). The AMG Line body kit makes it even lower. You will scrape on speed bumps. It is strictly a tarmac car for Kileleshwa, Lavington, and Westlands.
• Ride: The suspension is sporty and firm. You will feel every pothole. Avoid the 19-inch wheels if you value your spine.

The C118 is mechanically similar to the A-Class W177. The 1.3L engine is generally robust. Electronics are the main watch-out; ensure the screen software is up to date.
