The 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT (C190) is a German muscle car in a bespoke Italian suit. Origin: Germany (Affalterbach/Sindelfingen). First Generation: Launched in 2014. Current Generation: 2nd Generation (C192, launched 2023). The 2019 model is the key Facelift version. It introduced the menacing "Panamericana" vertical slat grille to all models, new LED headlights, and a fully digital interior console with display buttons.

• AMG GT (4.0L V8 Bi-Turbo): 469 HP / 630 Nm. STANDARD The entry model. Even this "base" car is incredibly fast. The engine sits behind the front axle (Front-Mid engine) for perfect balance.
• AMG GT S: 515 HP. Increased boost pressure and electronic limited-slip diff.
• AMG GT C: 550 HP. The "Goldilocks" model. It gets the wide body from the GT R and rear-wheel steering.

• V8 Center Console: The center console is designed to look like a V8 engine block, with buttons arranged in a V. The 2019 model replaces mechanical buttons with small display screens (like the AMG GT 4-Door).
• Hatchback Utility: Unlike the 911 or F-Type convertible, the AMG GT has a large rear hatch with 350 Litres of space. It can fit two golf bags, making it a viable grand tourer.

• Consumption: 7–9 km/l. Respectable for a V8 if driven gently in "Comfort" mode.
• Service: This is a specialized AMG product. The transaxle (gearbox at the rear) and dry-sump lubrication (on higher trims) require specialist care. Brake discs are huge and expensive.

Super Low: With less than 100mm clearance on some trims, it is lower than a smart phone. The long nose means you will scrape the front splitter on every speed bump unless you are extremely careful. It is strictly for the Southern Bypass and high-end estates.
