The Mazda CX-9 is the flagship of the Mazda lineup, originally launched in 2006. It appeals to the executive who needs the space of a Prado but wants the handling of a sports sedan.

• 7-Seater Utility: While it seats 7, the third row is tighter than a Discovery but usable for teenagers. Access is easy via a one-touch sliding second row.

• MZD Connect: The 2019 model updated the infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (often a dealer upgrade). It uses a rotary dial, which is safer to use while driving than a touchscreen.
