The 2019 Abarth 695 is a pocket rocket with a scorpion badge. Origin: Italy/Poland. It looks like a cute Fiat 500, but underneath, it is a snarling beast tuned by Abarth. The "695" designation is reserved for the highest-performance models, often featuring parts from Ferrari or Maserati (like the "Rivale" edition). In Kenya, it is the ultimate "toy car" for weekend blasts.

Small engine, massive turbo:

• 1.4L T-Jet Turbo STANDARD
  180 HP / 250 Nm. It uses a Garrett GT1446 turbo. The power-to-weight ratio is hilarious. It comes with a 5-speed manual (best choice) or a "Competizione" automated manual (MTA) which is jerky but effective on track.

• Sabelt Seats: The carbon-backed bucket seats are standard on the 695. They hold you tight in corners but are very firm.
• Practicality: Non-existent. The back seat is for shopping bags or very small children. The boot (185 Litres) barely fits a gym bag. This is a car for the driver and one passenger.

The Record Monza Exhaust is the real entertainment system. It has a valve that opens at high RPMs (or in Sport mode), making it sound like a mini Ferrari. Inside, you get a 7-inch Uconnect screen with Apple CarPlay.

• Consumption: 12–14 km/l. If you stay off the boost. 8 km/l if you have fun.
• Service: The 1.4L T-Jet is tough, but under-bonnet heat is high. Change oil frequently. Parts are specialized—you cannot buy Abarth brake pads at a petrol station.

• Clearance: Low. And the suspension is extremely stiff (Koni FSD shocks). You will feel every single pebble on the road. Speed bumps must be taken at crawling speed.

7 Airbags. Reliability is decent as the platform is old and proven. The biggest risk is hitting a pothole and bending the expensive 17-inch alloy wheels.

Who is this for? The petrolhead who wants to annoy their neighbors with loud pops and bangs. Who is it NOT for? Anyone with back problems.
