The Big Picture
The 2024 Renault Twingo is the city car reinvented. While the 1st Generation (launched 1993) was famous for its "frog eyes" and bed-seats, this 3rd Generation (launched 2014) is an engineering marvel shared with the Smart ForFour. The engine is in the back, and the drive goes to the rear wheels. This frees up the front wheels to turn up to 45 degrees, giving it a turning circle (8.6m) that can embarrass a boda boda.

By 2024, the lineup focused on efficiency:
- 1.0L SCe (Petrol): 65 HP. STANDARD A naturally aspirated 3-cylinder. It is slow (0-100 in 15s) but peppy enough for CBD traffic. Manual transmission only in most late models.
- E-Tech Electric: 81 HP. The electric version. Uses a 22 kWh battery for a range of ~190km. Perfect for a second car in Nairobi.

Agility King: The turning radius is its superpower. You can U-turn on a standard two-lane road without reversing. The ride is firm on the short wheelbase, so speed bumps can be jarring. It is strictly a city car.
